Hi everyone just got a nucleated colony last week. check the bees yesterday and they were busy building comb on the 5 extra frames some pretty much done. Having a blast and hoping to hit the 7/20 meeting.

Hey just putting in an update. this week we cracked open the hive to see how they were doing on the second large. Results showed that they were building come and filling open honey cells in 6 of the 10 frames starting in the center. No brood and no capping. We have been feeding constantly with sugar water and it looks like they are storying much of it.

Lots of bearding in the heat and morning activity bring in pollen. Will check them again and see how brood is doing soon.
